Recycle and reuse, duh!
When did it become un-American to be concerned for our effect on the environment, or to be too affluent to consider our natural resources as worth preserving?

Redstar Audio strongly believes in reuse and recycling programs and we participate actively at a local level.  Here are a few ways that we try to be great corporate, and community, citizens...

We actively recycle cardboard and paper products, which includes carton and packing materials from our suppliers.  We estimate that we recycle over 100 pounds a month of cardboard.

We work with our suppliers to minimize pre-consumer content.  Our boxes use a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled materials.  We have reduced our shipping box sizes to their minimum dimensions to reduce waste, especially in EPS (styrofoam) packaging.  We have eliminated the use of EPS "peanuts" in our packaging to reduce the chance of pollution due to spillage and escape.  We use EPS blanks only where necessary, which makes it easier for customers to recycle.

We believe that considering your carbon footprint is as important as recycling.  We work hard to choose local suppliers whenever possible to minimize transport distances, and we coordinate our parts and components from just a few key vendors to take advantage of bulk shipments, which further reduces how we impact the environment.

We admit that these are small steps, and we are always looking for ways to improve.  But we encourage you to consider how a manufacturer addresses these issues, and we hope that you agree that even small steps are worth taking.
